Instructing His Wife From Pulpit?
Anyone else remember Stevens telling his wife from the pulpit, that he likes her to come to bed wearing make-up? And that it’s a woman’s duty to look good by using make-up, he said, “Make Yerself Presentable to tha LORD!”
He then went on to talk about men making love to their your wives as if making love to the Lord Himself (no joke!) This too got Carl into some hot water and was quickly dismissed by other GG pastors as simply not understanding the profoundness of Carl’s wisDUM!

Carl always had a knack about talking about sex at the strangest times.
He often made an issue out of masturbation as if he never did it.
He exhorted engaged couples about 'no touch' love as if he practiced it when he should have.
I remember him making suggestions to his wife from the pulpit about makeup at bed time, I held my breath for Barbara at that point. I thought he was next going to tell her in front of everyone whether he liked the'missionary'position for Bahhhbera or 'doggie style'.
You never knew with this creep.

He specifically said that if the barn needs paint then you should PAINT THE BAHN-hahahahaha! My father has said that to me many times since he heard CHS say it. I would purposely go out in public without make-up just to piss my father off...how horrible! To suggest that I'm THAT ugly and need to 'fix myself up' before anyone should see me...REALLY!
