EXAMPLE 1: We are talking about totally different time periods here. I'm not saying Slavery should be accepted at any time, but what the bible is clearly saying is that no matter where you are in your life, you are told (BY GOD), to do right by your status. If you are a slave, you are to abide by your masters will. It's like that verse about "Give unto Cesar what is his!" Is it right that we pay taxes to help fund abortions even though we don't believe in it? The point is that WE did our part to the best we could and Cesar (AKA The Government) will have to stand before God and give an account for the money THEY spent! We did well before God by giving, and now it's up to them to spend it wisely. It would be no different than giving Tithe to a church and the pastor spends it on crack and hookers, you aren't to blame for what they do with the funds! It's all about giving an account. Slavery is NOT right, but if you are a slave (back then) and you mouth off, you DIE! It's that simple. If you are set to do a certain task, you are to do it for the Lord, the best that you can do it. If you want to try and change the political misgivings of your time, that is one thing. God simply wants you to take what and who you are, deal with it and do the best with it as you can. It's not always right, it's not always nice, but we are to stand before God one day. Assuming there is a God, then this life matters not anyway, so you stand before Him and He asks you "You were a slave, did you reflect ME through your actions as such?" If you can't say yes, then you've missed the whole point of your status in life then!

EXAMPLE 2: Christ is Talking figuratively about cutting your hand off, though the idea does apply. Assuming that there is a bigger world outside of the here and now, then if you are into porn, plucking your eyes out would be a good thing.

EXAMPLE 3: The whole thing about the bible demanding killing people for not doing as they should, again this is a time frame issue. God was trying to set his people apart from others nations where were doing everything under the sun. They were having sex with goats and worshiping idols and rocks, so God's people were to be set apart from such and show that they were clearly different! There was to be NO gay sex with the children of God, there was to be NO adultery or other such wrong doings, so stoning someone is NO different than the what we see in our jails today when we put people to death! The whole point here is to prove one fact, that the wages of sin is death. Nothing more, nothing less!
